Currently we are looking for a DevOps Engineer with Big Data for our Krakow office to make the team even stronger.YOUR ROLE
Are you driven and innovative cloud engineer with a strong focus on delivery and a passion to design and build robust, performant and scalable solutions? We are looking for someone like that to strengthen our core engineering team and design and implement solutions to address and meet business requirements and needs, specifically: • Lead cultural change for cloud adoption and help develop our cloud strategy; • Provide insight gained from Cloud experience; • Assist with the upskilling and knowledge transfer for junior members of the team; • Help to drive the cloud adoption strategy and help to instil best practices on the cloud; • Guide implementation teams to successful delivery using industry best practice patterns and principles; • Drive architecture, standards and guidelines aligned to the IB data strategy; • Comprehend business strategies and requirements, and develop the necessary designs and plans to ensure projects and solutions satisfy those needs; • Work closely with developers and programmers although your role will be to guide high-level decisions throughout the design and implementation process.REQUIREMENTS
- Experience of on-premise Hadoop (Cloudera/Hortonworks)
- GIT, Good Knowledge on branching strategy, Team City, Jenkins
- High level programming skills in Java, Scala, Python
- Establish DevOps tools/practices for cloud infra management at scale – monitoring, logging, configuration management, security etc
- Strong understanding of Azure PaaS, SQL, Azure DB, Cosmos DB, HD Insights, Azure Data Factory
- Strong experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Scripting knowledge (Azure ARM, Terraform, Bash, PowerShell)
- Docker/Kubernetes and Serverless Architectures, configuration and infra deployments (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Arm Templates ) on Azure Cloud
- Experience with leading technical discussions in regard to cloud adoption providing guidance to senior management and development teams
- In-depth understanding of modern software engineering practices, methodologies and know how to work in and help shape high performing development teams
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication verbal and written skills
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Finance/Fintech
