What stays unchanged is food, drinks, and a great atmosphere!

Let's see your agenda!

Jarosław Michalik

Google Developer Expert in Kotlin, Android developer. Helps his clients create and develop mobile applications. After hours, joking around on Instagram and lifting heavy weights overhead.

Let’s invoke() Kotlin idioms

Kotlin was created to make programming easier by providing expressive syntax and a sophisticated type system. To get the most out of the language, it’s important to understand the Kotlin idioms. Without them, it may be tempting to write Kotlin code in Java style (which is not optimal).

Kotlin idioms are simple and powerful constructs that make it easy to get the job done. Yet overusing them... is a road to maintenance hell.

Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, Kotlin idioms can help you write code that works and looks great. So go ahead - take a bite. Idioms are here to make our dev life easier.

Julia Plewa

Software Developer, VirtusLab

A software developer at VirtusLab with a background in JVM languages and web development. Used to work as a quantum computing researcher. Currently working on tooling that manages fleets of IDEs. One of the developers and maintainers of Pulumi Kotlin.

Pulumi Kotlin. The missing piece in Kotlin multi-platform

These days you can use Kotlin to do just about anything: implement a web server, create a beautiful UI for desktop, web, and mobile, write scripts, or even train ML models. You might be wondering, though: but what about infrastructure? In this talk, I will showcase the capabilities of Pulumi Kotlin, a powerful IaC library that allows you to create and manage your cloud infrastructure using Kotlin. The presentation will contain a demo in which I will present how to deploy a Ktor app to a Google Cloud Kubernetes cluster all with the power of Kotlin.

TBD
