Medical devices are both increasingly common in our lives and increasingly connected, creating a unique set of concerns for us all.

Join us and superstar medical device security researcher Billy Rios as he shares his analysis of events surrounding the first medical device recall based on cybersecurity issues. He will tell us about the vulnerabilities that drove the recall, how it developed, and what has been learned both from implementing the recall and its aftermath.

Over five years ago, the FDA initiated one of the first medical device recalls due to cybersecurity. How did such a recall happen, and what has happened since the recall? What can we learn about the approach used by the FDA, and could a similar approach be used for other industries? Join us as we explore the various stages of the recall and the impact of the recall on the medical device industry. We’ll describe some things other industries might be able to use.
